International Stinger presents “Stinger3D,” Saturdays at 8pm, beginning June 4.

International Stinger premieres their newest form — Stinger3D! — at the Playground Theater, Saturdays at 8pm, June 4 through July 16.

Blending comedy, props, and action with themes mined from 3D films old and new, International Stinger creates a live-action improvised play that seems to come RIGHT AT YOU. They will SCRATCH, they will BREAK, they will DEMOLISH the fourth wall, delivering an interactive performance that is more RIDE than SHOW. (Audience eyesight warning: the first minute will take place in two dimensions.)

Stinger3D is performed by Kathy Betts, Chris Biddle, Melissa Hulting, Sayjal Joshi, Matt Larsen, J. Ben Parker, Jessica Rogers, and Todd Soukup. They are directed by Alan Hawkins.

Two Playground improv ensembles also perform. Tickets are just $10 (or $5 w/ a valid student ID), and our theater is always BYOB.
