Ludas Sinclaire (a.k.a. Patrick Rowland), Out of Character, Friday at 8pm.

The Playground’s newest production, Out of Character, focuses on well-written and performed solo character sketches, turning each piece into a fully-realized improvised show. This week the Out of Character cast explores the life of Ludas Sinclaire, as played by Patrick Rowland, Friday at 8pm.
Ludas has never held a job for more than a year and always has absurd advice on what everybody else should do. He’s never lived on his own and doesn’t like being alone. He fancies himself an expert auto mechanic although he has never taken a class or knows what he is doing; he once caused a car to blow up but insists it was faulty wiring done by Ford. With all his faults he is in fact a ladies man and never has a problem picking up the women with his cheesy pick-up lines. Ludas has two younger half-brothers, Avery, 41, and Jeremiah, 21. He is very protective of Jeremiah because he sees great potential in him, so he is always giving him advice on how to live life.
Out of Character is performed by Mel Evans, Sarah Fineout, Sayjal Joshi, Lisa Linke, Wendy Mateo, Anthony Oberbeck, Conner O’Malley, Patrick Raynor, Patrick Rowland, Micah Sterenberg, and Rob White. The show is directed and produced by Matt Barbera.
Tickets are just $10, and our theater is always BYOB. Two Playground improv ensembles — Mustang Repair and The Basic Eight — also perform.
